2 Year Olds

A gentle, nurturing introduction to school with hands-on activities, Bible stories, and the social foundation that makes everything else possible.
3 Year Olds & VPK
3-day program · 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Builds early literacy, social skills, and Bible knowledge through play-based learning. Three-year-olds must be potty trained.
Kindergarten – 3rd Grade
5 days a week · 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Full-day instruction with the Abeka curriculum across all core subjects, plus Bible time woven through the week. Follows the Duval County school calendar.

What is East Pointe Christian Academy?
EPCA is a children's school ministry under East Pointe Church. We exist to minister the love of Christ and the truth of God's Word to every child and their family regardless of religion, race, or culture. Our goal is to strengthen each child spiritually, socially, and academically through a nurturing, structured, stimulating, and safe environment.
What ages does EPCA serve?
We currently offer education for 2 year olds (by Sept. 1st) through 3rd grade. Students entering our 3-year-old class must be potty trained.
What are the school hours and schedule?
Students age 2 through 3 attend from 9 AM until 12 PM. Kindergarten through 3rd grade attend 9 AM to 3 PM, five days a week. We follow the Duval County Public School calendar, though we do not observe early release dates. For 2 year olds, we offer a 2-day program; for 3 year olds, a 3-day program.
Do you offer before and after-school care?
Yes. We offer Patriot Care Morning (7:30 – 9:00 AM), Lunch Bunch (12:00 – 3:00 PM), and Patriot Care Extended (12:00 – 5:30 PM) to help meet various parent work schedules.
What curriculum do you use?
EPCA uses the Abeka curriculum for our 2's through 3rd grade. It is a Christian-based curriculum that provides a strong foundation for learning.
What are the qualifications for your teachers?
All elementary teachers hold a bachelor's degree in education. VPK teachers must have a VPK teaching certificate. All preschool teachers must complete the DCF 40-hour training for childcare.
How do you communicate with parents during the day?
We use Brightwheel, an all-in-one software platform accessed via app or computer. Brightwheel helps teachers manage their day and communicate with parents, giving you deeper insight into what your child is learning each day.
